For Santa's Helpers - Buy Last Minute Scuba Diving Gifts and Stocking Stuffers for Dive Fiends

You need to come up with a gift fast as the crowds are starting to get that lynch mob look to them, and you know that one of the people on your list is a dive nut. Well you're in luck as scuba diving has all sorts of little things that will bring a warm gleam to your dive fiends eyes, and they can fill all budget requirements.

Comfort Straps, these are especially popular with the ladies and the long haired men; they make putting on the mask easy and painless. Expect to pay under $10, if you make a large purchase like a camera or a dive boat; have them toss it into the deal, a great stocking stuffer or workplace gift.

A metal probe, Figure about $15, if you pay to much, this is great for sticking into holes and for banging on your tank when you found something from poking in the holes with you new metal probe toy! The probes are usually 12 to 15 inches long, and should have a lanyard for attaching to the BCD, a great toy for kids of all ages, especially the 35 to 55 year old kids on your Christmas list.

Emergency horns, these attach to the low pressure inflator hose and make a lot of noise when you press the button, great for waking up the other divers when you test it first thing in the morning on New Years Day! Expect to pay around $50 for this excellent piece of safety gear.

Form fitting mouthpiece, these are like football or boxing teeth protectors. You soak them in hot water and they mold to your mouth, which makes for less jaw fatigue, so anticipate a lot more stories of the fish that they saw on the trip. Figure less than $30 for this stocking stuffer.

Cameras, there are a lot of great digital cameras on the market now that have underwater housings made to fit the camera specifically, you can get a new unit camera and housing, for a little over $500, for the special diver in your life. The best in this price range the Olympus with the Sony Cyber shot a close 2nd. Check Rodale's for online dive gear comparisons.

A night dive light, These you can defiantly go overboard with (Pardon the pun) you can get little ones for around $15 for looking into holes on day dives up to $400 or more for exotic gas lights, great for lighting underwater airstrips and parking lots. There are also strobe lights for cameras.
